Ackee is the national fruit of Jamaica and is borne in clusters on an evergreen tree. Definitely a "must have" especially for Jamaicans abroad. Ackee is most often prepared with salted codfish as the national dish of Jamaica. Canned fresh, Ackees are pre-cooked. Add seasoning and heat.
